Andrea Plöger
Sabine Weber and me, Andrea Plöger, have been working on the topic of the globalisation critical movements together. We have produced a short video on the WSF 2003 a one hour long DVD in 6 languages on the issue of the different women issues (global south and north) at the WSF 2004 in Mumbai and this year an interactive Video DVD for the Global Action Day in Berlin showing the local initiatives and also international ones working on the same kind of topics.

This clips shows the first part of the caravan for free movement and development from Bamako to the World Social Forum in Dakar. The caravan was made up of different caravans from Mali, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Tunesia and activists from Europe. This video shows the first part of the caravan from Mali from Bamako to Nioro du Sahel and back. The idea was to protest at the border to Mauretania against the Frontex system installed by the European Union which is causing the death and suffering of thousands of migrants at the borders. While Europe is exploiting the resources of Africa causing Africans to loose their livlihood - as e.g. emptying the oceans and leaving no fish for the African fishermen - humans are kept inside Africa by using more and more military and prison systems. The second part of the caravan - when the caravan form Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Togo and Tunesia joined will be following.
