One of more than a hundred actions held around the world to mark the anniversary of the massacre of Eldorado de Carajás this was only a small contribution, but further efforts are planned, including during Melbourne's Social Forum this weekend. Apart from an account of the massacre itself, given here partly in text form, the action took the form of an open mic, and speakers made various contributions, as can be seen, including one in Spanish ...

The chants and singing heard at the beginning and end of the video were recorded at the closing session of the 2007 Latin America & Asia Pacific International Solidarity Forum at Trades Hall, Melbourne.
