The caravan was made up of different caravans from Mali, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Tunesia and activists from Europe. The idea was to protest at the border to Mauretania against the Frontex system installed by the European Union which is causing the death and suffering of thousands of migrants at the borders. While Europe is exploiting the resources of Africa causing Africans to loose their livlihood - as e.g. emptying the oceans and leaving no fish for the African fishermen - humans are kept inside Africa by using more and more military and prison systems.
